Job Summary
Ascertains automotive problems by listening to customer descriptions, conducting inspections, and taking test drives. Develops estimates by costing materials and labor, then verifies warranty coverage by examining records. Prepares repair orders by describing symptoms and causes, obtains customer approval, and enters data into the service database. Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates, arranging towing, and answering questions while updating job knowledge through manufacturer publications. Requires prior Service Advisor experience, a valid driving license, and familiarity with DealerTrack.
Required Qualifications
- Must have prior Service Advisor experience
- Demonstrates an extreme attention to detail
- Ability to write, present and respond to customers and staff members in a professional manner
- Ability to compute basic math equation
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Candidates must have a valid driving license and clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with DealerTrack and X-time preferred
- Ford Experience preferred
