Job Summary
Greet service customers, listen to vehicle concerns, and provide accurate estimates for repairs and maintenance. Offer logical diagnostic services, present service menus, and sell recommended maintenance based on customer needs. Handle minor complaints with tact, escalate unresolved issues to management, and obtain documented approval for add-on sales. Monitor shop workload, check repair progress daily, and communicate job status changes to technical staff. Write and verify repair orders, document timekeeping, and confirm appointments by phone. Maintain records of special parts, warranty follow-ups, and carryover vehicles. Inform sales managers of potential new vehicle leads and report any safety or integrity concerns.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year dealership experience
- Must be able to write clear and precise repair instructions
- Provide estimates for labor and parts
- Establish/determine customers method of payment
- Obtain customers signature on PO
- Continuous communication on jobs throughout the day
- Coordinate with manufacturer and/or extended warranty companies for approval in advance of repairs
- Be knowledgeable of products and services
- Meet or exceed sales quotas set by management
- Test drive vehicles when necessary
