Job Summary
Greet service customers, listen to vehicle concerns, and provide logical diagnostic services or repairs. Offer accurate estimates for all recommended services and present a service menu of maintenance options. Handle minor complaints with courtesy, escalate unresolved issues to management, and obtain documented telephone approval for add-on sales. Monitor shop workload, check repair progress, and communicate job status changes to technical staff. Sell proper repairs and maintenance services based on customer needs while meeting sales objectives. Write and document repair orders accurately, update parts status records, and confirm service appointments. Contact customers upon job completion and report any safety or integrity concerns to management.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year dealership experience
- Must be able to write clear and precise repair instructions
- Provide estimates for labor and parts
- Establish/determine customers method of payment
- Obtain customers signature on PO
- Continuous communication on jobs throughout the day
- Coordinate with manufacturer and/or extended warranty companies for approval in advance of repairs
- Be knowledgeable of products and services
- Meet or exceed sales quotas set by management
- Test drive vehicles when necessary
- Must pass background checks
- Must pass MVR
- Must pass drug testing
