Job Summary
Greet service customers, listen to vehicle concerns, and provide logical diagnostic services or repairs. Offer accurate estimates for all recommended services and present a service menu of maintenance to every customer. Handle minor complaints with courtesy, escalate unresolved issues to management, and obtain proper authorization before additional repairs. Sell repairs and maintenance services based on customer needs while documenting repair orders thoroughly and legibly. Monitor shop workload, check repair progress, and communicate job status changes to technical staff. Confirm appointments, contact customers upon completion, and report safety or integrity concerns to management.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year dealership experience
- Must be able to write clear and precise repair instructions
- Provide estimates for labor and parts
- Establish/determine customers method of payment
- Obtain customers signature on PO
- Continuous communication on jobs throughout the day
- Coordinate with manufacturer and/or extended warranty companies for approval in advance of repairs
- Be knowledgeable of products and services
- Meet or exceed sales quotas set by management
- Test drive vehicles when necessary
