Job Summary
The Service Advisor will perform automotive services in a timely and efficient manner while providing quality customer service; associates will be trained to achieve Level I status. Responsibilities include assisting customers with purchases in a customer service and sales-focused environment, using computers to determine product inventory levels and set up work orders for customers, scheduling service work, and communicating to the service department; explaining work orders and invoices to customers; performing Retail Cashier duties by handling payments; installing batteries, balancing wheels, and repairing/installing tires when required; conducting oil changes using LOF procedures when required; maintaining awareness of Loss Prevention and safety policies; interpreting vehicle inspection results and making appropriate service recommendations to customers; and effectively communicating with customers and coworkers. Training opportunity to progress to Level I status is noted, with emphasis on developing skills in automotive service, customer interaction, and administrative tasks within the service department.
Required Qualifications
- Must have great communication skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks
- Ability to read and speak English
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Prior auto repair experience is preferred
- Prior retail experience preferred
