Job Summary
Senior Technician position diagnosing drivability and electrical systems, leading and mentoring a team to improve customer care and satisfaction; responsibilities include diagnosing/repairing brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, fuel ignition, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems; responsibilities also include communicating diagnoses and repair needs to non-mechanical individuals, staying current with automotive technology through paid formal training, and obtaining/maintaining ASE certifications within two years; minimal requirements include valid driver's license and demonstrated skills in brakes/hydraulics and tire repair; preferred qualifications include 3 years of automotive repair experience and ASE certification in A1-A8 (L1 acceptable); the role offers a flat-rate pay model and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times
- Demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulics systems and/or steering & suspension and alignments
- Skilled in general automotive maintenance & tire repair
- Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people
- Reading, writing and math skills
- A.S.E. certification in at least one of A1-A8 (L1 certification acceptable)
- 3 years of automotive repair experience or vocational-technical training preferred
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years automotive repair experience
- ASE certification in A1-A8 (L1 acceptable)
- A.S.E. certification in at least one of A1-A8 (L1 acceptable)
- third party assessments/certifications
- Vocational-Technical School Program completion
- readiness to obtain/maintain ASE certifications within two years
