Job Summary
Senior Automotive Technician responsible for diagnosing and repairing brake/hydraulic, exhaust, primary/advanced fuel ignition, electrical, suspension/alignments, air conditioning and computer systems. Communicate technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-technical customers, stay current with evolving automotive technology through formal paid training, and assist/mentor technicians, aiming to improve customer care and satisfaction. Requires ongoing pursuit of ASE certifications (at least three of A1-A8 within two years). Possesses valid driver's license and strong communication skills; preferred candidates have 3 years of automotive repair experience or related vocational training, and ASE certification (A1-A8, with L1 acceptable). Eligible for annual compensation based on a flat-rate pay structure and opportunities for professional development and growth within a large, service-focused organization.
Required Qualifications
- Valid automobile driver's license at all times
- Demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulics systems and/or steering & suspension and alignments
- Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people
- Reading, writing and math skills
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years of automotive repair experience
- A.S.E. certification in at least one of A1-A8 (L1 acceptable)
- Demonstrated skills via third party assessments/certifications
- 3 years of automotive repair experience, demonstrated skills via third party assessments/certifications, or completion of Vocational-Technical School Program
