Job Summary
Diagnose and repair drivability and electrical systems; lead and mentor a technician team to improve customer care and satisfaction; stay current with advancing automotive technology through paid formal training; explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and non-mechanical staff; obtain or maintain ASE certifications within the first two years of employment; undergo ongoing training and participate in a performance-based pay structure tied to task completion; strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with technicians and service staff.
Required Qualifications
- Valid automobile driver's license at all times
- Demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulics systems and/or steering & suspension and alignments
- Skill in general automotive maintenance & tire repair
- Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people
- Reading, writing and math skills
- ASE certifications in at least three of A1-A8 within first two years of employment (tests and registrations fees paid by company)
