Job Summary
Diagnose and repair drivability and electrical systems while applying leadership and mentoring to drive a team toward higher customer care and satisfaction. Stay current with automotive technology through ongoing formal training. Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals. Train technicians and maintain ASE certifications (A.S.E. in A1–A8 within the first two years). Requires valid driver’s license, strong service and communication skills, and proficiency in brakes/hydraulics, steering & suspension, exhaust, fuel ignition, A/C, and computer systems.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times
- Demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulics systems and/or steering & suspension and alignments
- Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people
- Reading, writing and math skills
- Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1 – A8 within first two years of employment
