Job Summary
Senior Automotive Technician responsible for diagnosing drivability and electrical systems and leading a team toward enhanced customer care. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing brake/hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension/alignment, and air conditioning/computer systems; explaining diagnoses and repairs to non-technical customers; staying current with automotive technology via formal training; and coaching technicians. Requires ASE certifications (A1–A8) and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people; valid driver’s license; and relevant certifications/licenses. Emphasizes mentorship, performance-based pay via flat-rate system, and ongoing development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid automobile driver’s license
- Demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulics systems and/or steering & suspension and alignments
- Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable
- A.S.E. certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within the first two years of employment (tests and registrations fees paid by company)
