Job Summary
Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, while applying leadership and mentoring skills to drive a team toward enhanced customer care and satisfaction. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing to specifications across brakes/hydraulics, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems. Must stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training, and assist/train technicians in performing technical activities. Requires obtaining or maintaining ASE certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within the first two years. Requires a valid driver’s license, demonstrated skill in brakes/hydraulics and/or steering & suspension/alignments, and applicable certifications/licenses. Strong communication of technical information to non-technical customers and colleagues; includes reading, writing and math skills. A.S.E. certification in at least one of A1–A8 preferred; three years of automotive repair experience or vocational-technical training are favorable; offers competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.
Required Qualifications
- Valid automobile driver's license at all times
- Demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulics systems and/or steering & suspension and alignments
- Skilled in general automotive maintenance & tire repair
- Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable
- Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within first two years of employment (fees paid by company)
