Job Summary
Senior Automotive Technician responsible for diagnosing drivability and electrical systems, leading and mentoring a team toward improved customer care and satisfaction. Duties include diagnosing and repairing brakes/hydraulics, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension/alignments, air conditioning and computer systems; communicating diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical customers; staying current with evolving automotive technology through paid formal training; training technicians in technical activities; pursuing ASE certifications (A.S.E. 3 of A1–A8 within two years). Minimum qualifications include a valid driver’s license, demonstrated skill in brakes/hydraulics or steering & suspension/alignments, general automotive maintenance and tire repair, applicable certifications/licenses, and strong communication skills. Preference for 3 years of repair experience and ASE certification (A1-A8, L1 acceptable); location Raleigh, NC; full-time with competitive pay and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times
- Demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulics systems and/or steering & suspension and alignments
- Skilled in general automotive maintenance & tire repair
- Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people
- Reading, writing and math skills
