Job Summary
Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, lead and mentor a team toward improved customer care and satisfaction. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing to specifications (brakes/hydraulics, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension/alignments, and A/C/computer systems); explaining diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals; staying current with automotive technology through paid formal training; assisting and training technicians; and pursuing ASE certifications (A1–A8) within two years. Offers on-the-job training, paid certifications, and a performance-based pay model under flat-rate compensation. Must hold a valid driver’s license and meet applicable certifications/licenses; preferred experience includes 3 years of automotive repair, third-party assessments/certifications, or completion of a Vocational-Technical program; ASE certification in at least one (L1 acceptable) with potential for further certification. Required Qualifications
- valid automobile driver's license at all times
- demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulics systems and/or steering & suspension and alignments
- skilled in general automotive maintenance & tire repair
- current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable
- ASE certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within first two years of employment
- obtain or maintain ASE certifications (A.S.E.)
- Salary pay structure: flat-rate pay and ability to drive customer and company vehicles
