Job Summary
Direct daily store operations for the Arroyo Grande retail branch, driving sales, managing profitability, and minimizing losses while providing exceptional customer service. Maintain showroom, office, and service bay cleanliness; oversee inventory controls, parts ordering, and loss prevention. Manage staff hiring, training, scheduling, and disciplinary actions; ensure accurate technician billing and work order completion. Handle daily banking tasks, customer tire installations, and safety compliance. Prepare daily bank deposits, approve returns, and ensure all billing invoices are complete.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Associate's Degree in a business-related discipline, a plus
- At least 3 years of proven managerial experience within an automotive / tire retail environment
- Experience and clear understanding of gross and net profits
- Solid mathematical skills
- Computer literate, experience with Point of Sale (POS) applications and ability to learn new software applications easily
- Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership, time management, attention to detail, organizational, planning, effective multi-tasking, problem-solving, follow-through and customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds in weight
- Possess a valid CA driver's license, with a clean and insurance driving record, with a copy of H6 driving record
- Ability to pass a drug test and pre-employment physical
