Job Summary
Automotive Repair Technician A responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles. Performs advanced diagnostics and repairs (engine, transmission, suspension/steering, brakes including ABS/traction control, electrical systems, heating and air conditioning), ensures work meets manufacturer procedures or industry best practices, and mentors other technicians and service staff. AAA benefits include paid ASE certifications, training opportunities, and a productive, supportive team environment. Requires strong diagnostic skills, physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and a valid US work authorization. This is a full-time role based in Manassas, VA with remote-work options within the AAA footprint; offers competitive hourly pay with productivity bonuses and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 years of experience as an Automotive Technician with advanced diagnostic skills
- ASE Master Technician or Dealership certifications preferred (or equivalent experience with ability to certify within 12 months – paid for by AAA)
- ASE L1 (Advanced Engine Performance) certification preferred
- Strong communication skills for mentoring and collaborating with the team
- Valid driver’s license
- Authorized to work in the USA
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (background, drug, fitness for duty)
