Job Summary
Lead and support daily operations of the Car Care Center Service Department, ensuring efficient workflow, productivity, and exceptional customer service. Supervise, mentor, and develop Repair Technicians, Service Advisors, and sales associates while helping to foster a positive, high-performing team environment. Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of service department associates. Ensure all vehicle repairs and maintenance services are completed accurately, professionally, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Maintain clear and proactive communication with customers regarding repair recommendations, approvals, timelines, and service expectations. Partner with Service Advisors and sales associates to explain repair recommendations, secure customer approvals, and deliver an outstanding customer experience. Organize and prioritize work assignments to maximize shop efficiency, vehicle throughput, and parts procurement processes. Support store sales growth and profitability through effective operational execution and customer service excellence. Assist with opening and closing responsibilities, scheduling, estimate preparation, work orders, and overall store operations. Assume responsibility for store operations and sales performance in the Manager's absence. Ensure compliance with all AAA Car Care policies and procedures, including OSHA, M.A.P., state, and environmental regulations. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while ensuring proper maintenance of tools and equipment. Accurately complete and review required documentation, repair orders, inspections, and related administrative functions. Support inventory preparation, workflow monitoring, training initiatives, and other operational responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the automotive repair industry
- ASE Certification preferred
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate team members
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Proficiency with automotive shop management software, diagnostic technology, and PC-based applications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Authorized to work in the United States
