Automotive Production Lead

Job Summary
Manage car movement into and out of the Inspection Center safely while meeting daily, weekly, and monthly production targets. Oversee assigned team activities, provide coaching and performance management, and resolve conflicts to maintain positive communication and cohesion. Review and approve mechanical and physical defects of incoming inventory, leading repairs or rejections based on estimated costs and quality standards. Train associates on Quality Control standards to identify and complete repairs efficiently the first time, minimizing re-work and delays. Ensure adherence to systems, policies, and safety procedures in a fast-paced environment requiring extended standing and use of protective equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience using computers
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Demonstrated functional expertise in one or more areas pertaining to Carvana's reconditioning process
- Demonstrated understanding of our current reconditioning processes and lean principles
- Valid unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels
- Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality content in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively delegate tasks to team members
- Ability to communicate and interact with others effectively in a professional, courteous manner
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and oral
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Ability to resolve complex issues with guidance from others
- Ability to work overtime and on weekends
- Ability to work variable schedule(s) as necessary
