Job Summary
Automotive Parts Specialist assists internal and external customers with parts requests to ensure correct parts are obtained, identifies and locates parts, and places orders as needed. Responsible for maintaining and tracking inventory and accessories, using negotiation to secure best prices, and balancing supply with demand. Requires highly organized, in-depth knowledge of automotive parts and strong customer service and communication skills; duties include greeting customers, providing timely service, recommending related parts, providing time estimates for parts, and recording parts sales and warranty information. Reports to Parts Manager; prior experience in auto repair or auto parts sales and a high school diploma or GED are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- At least one year of experience in auto repair or auto parts sales is required
- Strong customer service, administrative, and organizational skills
- Deep knowledge of automotive parts and industry
