Job Summary
Receive and process material orders by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices to ensure items are not damaged. Schedule large shipments, coordinate logistics for storage space, and pull customer orders while packaging parts for shipment. Process deliveries using shipping software like UPS and Shipping Easy, creating schedules for drivers and communicating with customers, dispatch, and management. Maintain an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups while reading safety rules and operating instructions. This role supports Village Automotive Group's award-winning stores across Greater Boston and Colorado, handling parts for brands including Audi, Porsche, and Honda.
Required Qualifications
- 21+ years old
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Excellent communication skills between customers, dispatch, and employees
- Basic safety knowledge and skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to repeatedly bend or stoop to floor-level shelves and be able to reach upper shelves with the use of a ladder when necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Automotive parts experience is preferred, but not required
