Automotive Parts Manager

Job Summary

Forecast department goals and objectives while managing an annual operating budget. Hire, train, motivate, and monitor performance of all parts department staff. Maintain balanced inventory levels to ensure several annual turnovers and minimize obsolescence. Establish pricing parameters and special ordering policies to maximize gross profit and customer loyalty. Analyze monthly sales, expenses, and inventory to maintain profit goals. Supervise stock orders, shipping, and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing. Coordinate paperwork flow and monitor daily reports including DOE, DOC, and sales productivity. Develop and utilize a lost sales tracking report and aggressive wholesale parts program. Provide technical assistance to employees and enforce safety requirements including forklift training and OSHA compliance. Handle customer complaints immediately and develop guidelines for maximum customer satisfaction. Assist in collection of past-due accounts and ensure all dealership purchases are properly accounted for.
