Job Summary
Oversee daily Parts Department operations, including inventory management, vendor coordination, and staff supervision. Develop and grow the wholesale business by building relationships with repair facilities while ensuring timely fulfillment of customer and technician requests. Manage open purchase orders, invoices, and vendor accounts to guarantee accurate billing and financial statement precision. Process manufacturer warranty claims, returns, and core credits in accordance with policies, and maintain accurate physical inventories of tires, oil, parts cores, and general stock. Resolve customer concerns, enforce safety standards, and utilize the dealership management system to reconcile purchase orders and minimize obsolete inventory. Monitor department profitability, key performance indicators, and cross-train with the service department to improve communication and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of automotive parts experience, preferably in a dealership environment
- Previous leadership or management experience
- Strong knowledge of GM parts and dealership operations
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with inventory management and wholesale parts sales
- Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with dealership management systems
