Automotive Parts Counter Specialist

Job Summary
Ascertain make, year, and type of part needed, determine price and availability using computerized inventory records, and inspect parts for damage before sales. Clarify use and features of various parts, fill technician or customer orders from stock, and submit special orders as necessary. Mark and store parts in an orderly fashion, order and stock basic supplies, verify invoice records, and handle warranty replacements by returning defective parts to manufacturers. Sell or purchase parts to and from other dealerships while interfacing with salespeople, distributors, and parts stores. Perform related duties as assigned. Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience in foreign auto parts
- Reliable, hardworking individual
- Strong customer service skills
- Basic sales skills
- Physical ability to lift parts, up to 70 pounds on a daily basis
- Ability to stretch and reach parts on shelves up to 7 feet high
- Ability to bend and reach parts on the ground, shelving, etc.
