Job Summary
Greet customers in person and over the phone, directing them to requested items while answering inquiries and providing advice on value-added products. Source and order automotive parts through authorized suppliers, process returns and warranties, and test batteries, starters, and alternators at the filling station. Maintain the retail floor by stocking shelves according to planograms, locating products in the warehouse, and ensuring inventory accuracy through hole checks and bin cap analysis. Operate the computerized parts lookup system and EFD to enter coding in Canadian Tire systems, while complying with all health and safety policies and reporting hazards immediately.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated automotive subject matter knowledge and interest
- Basic math and typing skills
- Good working knowledge of automotive parts lookup system
- Ability to work under minimal supervision with computerized systems
- Experience in a similar role, in a Canadian Tire store or Automotive Service Centre
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to operate a cash register is an asset
