Job Summary
Paint or remove paint from contract automotive units per customer specifications, perform surface preparation and corrosion-control techniques, mask areas not to be painted, apply coatings (primer, paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin) with brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other devices, and remove old paint using solvents or blasting methods. Ensure surfaces are prepared (sandpaper/steel wool; acid treatment for aluminum) for proper coating adhesion; apply insignia or numerals as required; adhere to safety, credential, background check, and drug-screen requirements; work shifts as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Three (3) years recent painting/depainting experience on contract unit equipment
- Must have normal color vision
- PFT and Respirator Fit test may be required
- Must obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
- US Citizenship required for facility credentials/authorization
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and government background check
- Must read, speak and write English
- Must obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) if required
- Must be available to work any shift; willing to work weekends and other hours as needed
