Job Summary
Prep, sand, and paint Dejana trucks and vans using power spray equipment and brushes. Mix paints for proper color, formula, and viscosity; perform titrations and adjust chemicals as needed. Sand, wash, and condition parts, performing light bodywork when required. Inspect products before, during, and after the paint process to ensure specifications are met. This full-time role requires standing on hard surfaces, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating hand and power tools in an indoor manufacturing setting with potential exposure to hazardous fumes. Hourly rates range from $18.00 to $27.00.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Capability to be detail oriented and organized
- Capability to be self-motivated and able to meet manufacturing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to operate hand tools and power tools
- Ability to frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Moderately difficult, manipulative and hand-eye coordination skills
- Ability to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption and attend to tasks for 20 to 45 minutes at a time
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Background checks
- MVR/drug/alcohol testing
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience in the painting of automotive or heavy vehicle/equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, or automotive body shop
