Job Summary
Prepare color tint to match paint color, mix paint colors, and ensure all formulations, preparations, top coating, and curing meet original equipment manufacturer (OEM) recommended standards for proper application sequence, timing, and materials usage. Ensure all paint operations are complete, remove all masking, and reassemble any prior paint-related disassembly before returning the vehicle to the body technician. This role requires 3+ years of experience in paint operations within a collision center, an Auto Body certificate or ASE certification in refinishing preferred, and the ability to perform consistent physical activity including lifting objects over 50 lbs. Candidates must read and understand written estimates and work orders while working through competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in paint operations within a collision center
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions
- Ability to do consistent physical activity – reach below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, and squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs
- Ability to read and understand instructions, written estimates, and work orders
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
