Job Summary
Lead and mentor a team of trainee painters and prep technicians, providing on-the-job training, guidance on best practices, and instruction on established techniques and safety protocols. Execute paint repairs and custom finishes with autonomy, including applying sealers, primers, basecoats, clearcoats, and specialty coatings like metallic or pearlescent finishes. Perform all aspects of surface preparation, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and removing imperfections to ensure optimal paint adhesion and a flawless finish. Conduct regular inspections of completed work and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to high craftsmanship standards and manufacturer specifications. Maintain and develop the training matrix and work instructions while continuing to improve painting processes for enhanced efficiency and quality.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional automotive painting experience
