Job Summary
Perform metallurgical testing to analyze material structure, hardness, case depth, and other required tests using specialized equipment. Review results against specifications, prepare reports, and approve materials while communicating findings to the supervisor and plant management. Develop and maintain charts for sediment and metallurgical processes, ensuring all work complies with Global Manufacturing System procedures and safety guidelines. Operate lab equipment, perform routine preventative maintenance, and report any issues immediately. Work the second shift with a high school diploma and strong computer skills for report preparation. Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Strong computer skills, ability to organize and prepare reports
- Comply with all safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment, including always wearing the proper PPE, safely handling chemicals, and reporting unsafe work conditions or equipment immediately
- Successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
