Automotive Mechanics

Automotive Mechanics needed for full-time roles at Mavis Tires & Brakes in the Ridgewood/Fair Lawn, NJ area. Responsibilities include inspecting, diagnosing, and performing a wide range of automotive services, with focus on undercar repairs (brakes, struts, shocks), completing state inspections, oil changes, fluid checks, part replacements, and tire mounting/balancing. Strong emphasis on customer service and quality workmanship; tools required for the position should be part of the candidate’s outfitted toolbox. Must be at least 18, legally authorized to work in the United States, and have around 2 years of automotive repair experience or equivalent training. Preferred qualifications include state inspection licenses and ASE certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5). Workplace includes standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, lifting items over 50 pounds, and other physical duties typical of an active automotive service role.
