Job Summary
Automotive Mechanics inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services, including undercar repairs such as brakes, struts, and shocks. They handle state-mandated inspections, oil/filters, fluid checks, parts replacement, and tire mounting/balancing. The role requires at least 18 years old, legal work authorization in the United States, and at least 2 years of relevant experience or training, plus a personal toolbox. ASE certifications are preferred. The position is full-time at a Mavis service center in the New York Mills, NY area, with opportunities for on-the-job training and career growth. The job entails standing and performing physical tasks, including lifting over 50 pounds, with open interviews available.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
- an extensive tool box of personal tools
- state inspection license(s) (preferred)
- ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5) (preferred)
- legal authorization to work in the United States
