Job Summary
Automotive Mechanics needed for full-time roles at Mavis Tires & Brakes in Cortland, NY. Responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing a variety of automotive services including undercar repairs (brakes, struts, shocks), oil and filter changes, fluid checks, parts replacement, tire mounting/balancing, and completing state inspections. Must have at least 2 years of automotive repair experience or equivalent training, possess a personal tool collection, be able to lift 50+ pounds, and be legally authorized to work in the United States. ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5) and a state inspection license are preferred. Walk-in interviews are available and online applications are welcome. Mavis is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of automotive repair and/or training or equivalent experience
- experience with undercar repairs (brakes, struts, shocks)
- ability to perform oil changes and fluid checks
- state inspections ability (preferred)
- ASE Certifications in G1, A4, A5 (preferred)
- extensive personal toolkit
- 18+ years of age
- legal authority to work in the United States
- physical ability to lift 50+ pounds
- reliable transportation and scheduling
- completion of on-the-job training or prior experience

- safety-conscious
