Job Summary
Automotive Mechanic: Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide range of undercar repairs (brakes, struts, shocks) and related services at Mavis Tire locations. Responsibilities include state inspections, oil/filters, fluids, parts replacement, tire dismount/mount/balance, and ensuring high-quality customer service. Must be at least 18, legally authorized to work in the United States, with 2 years of automotive repair experience or equivalent, and possess an extensive toolbox. Preferred licenses/certifications include state inspection licenses and ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5). Active position with in-store interviews and on-the-job training opportunities; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
- extensive toolbox of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs
Desired Qualifications
- State inspection license(s) (preferred)
- ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5) (preferred)
- 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or equivalent
- Extensive toolbox of personal tools
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repetitive movements
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds
