Job Summary
Automotive Mechanics inspect, diagnose and perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts and shocks. They also conduct state-mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount/mount/balance tires. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and regularly lift items weighing over 50 pounds. Requires 2 years of experience or equivalent; ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5) and state inspection license(s) are preferred. Full-time position at Mavis Tire family in the Amsterdam, NY area with opportunities for training and career growth.
Required Qualifications
- 18+ years of age
- legally authorized to work in the United States
- 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or equivalent
- extensive toolbox of personal tools for undercar repairs
