Job Summary

Automotive Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for managing product revisions and new products from concept to production, owning cost/quality/performance of components, selecting materials/processes, coordinating testing/validation, interfacing with suppliers, and ensuring DFMA/DFMEA considerations with low-volume production and prototyping. Requires a BS in mechanical engineering (ABET), 3-5 years automotive OEM/Tier-1/2 experience, proficiency in Catia V5 (and ideally 3DExperience or Aras Innovator), GD&T, and strong collaboration with manufacturing and quality teams. On-site at Revology Cars in Orlando, FL; full-time with potential overtime. Compensation: $80,000 - $120,000 per year.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited school
  • 3-5 years of experience working for an automotive OEM, Tier 1, or Tier 2 supplier
  • Experience designing automotive mechanical components with consideration for DFA, DFM, and DFMEA, and serviceability
  • Familiarity with low volume prototyping materials and manufacturing processes
  • Experience working directly with suppliers, in-house manufacturing, purchasing, quality engineering, and manufacturing engineering
  • Skills and Abilities: Catia V5, 3DExperience, Aras Innovator, communication, manufacturing accuracy, hands-on vehicle systems knowledge
  • Work Environment: on-site at Revology Cars facilities, full-time 40+ hours, willingness to overtime
