Job Summary
Automotive Mechanic responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems on cars and light duty trucks, including brakes, steering & suspension, alignments, drivetrains, and electrical systems. Performs preventive maintenance (PM) inspections, leveling kits, and tire-related services, operates diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues, and maintains detailed work records. Conducts fleet inspections, assists with parts inventory and shop organization, ensures compliance with safety guidelines and DOT regulations, and participates in on-the-job training and career growth within a national commercial fleet services leader.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (trade school certification a plus)
- Prior experience as an automotive mechanic
- Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving ability
- Must be able to lift/move tires and equipment (30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical aids)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- Willingness to work in varying conditions (weather, noise, physical demands)
