Job Summary
Automotive Mechanic (2nd shift, 1pm-9pm) maintains/repairs company vehicles powered by gasoline, diesel, electric, and propane. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions, repairing engines, drive trains, front and rear ends, air/electrical/hydraulic systems, minor body repairs, servicing forklifts, performing road calls, and conducting preventative maintenance per Fleet Supervisor directives. Ensure DOT compliance during inspections, report and address any non-immediate issues, and assist with other tasks such as delivering trucks and parts between branches. Must adhere to safety policies and participate in required pre-employment screening. In-person travel within the service territories is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of Diesel/Automotive Technician experience
- 3+ ASE certifications
- Able to obtain and maintain Class C or A-CDL, and medical card
- Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and driving record within MVR policy guidelines
