Job Summary
Automotive Mechanic Senior responsible for modifying cars and trucks in a prototype environment, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, following service procedures, mentoring teammates, maintaining vehicle records, and leading daily shop organization; requires strong mechanical knowledge, ability to work independently and with a team, and comfort with overtime/weekends. Knowledge of A/C, alignments, and shop equipment is beneficial.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 8 years of work experience as a mechanic
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team and able to mentor and train others
- Has own tools with rolling toolbox and able to work overtime and weekends
- Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures
- Certificate in Automotive Technology or related (preferred)
- State Mechanic Certification(s) (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license (preferred)
- Knowledge of vehicle alignments, A/C system repairs, tire machines and balancers (preferred)
