Job Summary
Maintain vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspections. Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, replace parts and components, and read service procedures. Maintain vehicle records by entering notes and repair orders. Keep shop equipment operating through troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and following operating instructions. Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up. Perform independent project tasks while collaborating with customers and team members in a prototype environment. Requires own tools with rolling toolbox and ability to work overtime including weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience as a Mechanic
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly
- Ability to operate shop equipment
- Good attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Own tools with rolling toolbox
- Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures
- Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate in Automotive Technology or related
- National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s)
- State Mechanic Certification(s)
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of vehicle alignments
- Knowledge of air conditioning (A/C) system repairs
- Knowledge of tire machines and balancers
