Job Summary
The Auto Mechanic 310T is responsible for inspection, repair, maintenance, and diagnostic tests of the UPS vehicle fleet. Responsibilities include repairing and inspecting diesel, propane, CNG and gasoline vehicles, operating/testing company vehicles within UPS facilities and on public roads. Requires_Red_Seal_310T and tools, clean driving record, and ability to work evening/night shifts; union benefits and pay progression are provided. Location: Concord, Ontario; full-time permanent position with 10-hour shift options and overtime considerations.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a valid Red Seal (310T license)
- Possession of essential trade tools and equipment
- Possession of a clean driver’s abstract/record (no more than 1 month old) with no violations for the current year and no more than 2 violations in the last 3 years; no accidents and maximum 5 demerit points in the last 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Willingness to work evening and/or night shifts
- Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills
- Must pass a pre-employment road test
