Job Summary
Automotive Master Technician / Mechanic needed at a Christian Brothers Automotive location. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing vehicles across domestic and foreign makes, performing thorough courtesy inspections, collaborating with the service department and fellow technicians to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly, and upholding high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization. The role emphasizes teamwork, accurate communication, continuous skill development, and a customer-focused approach with weekends off. The position requires 3+ years of experience, ASE certifications (preferred or plan to achieve), the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles, and a commitment to long-term career growth.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic
- ASE Certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve
- Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles
- Meet or exceed hourly goals
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
- Professional appearance and strong communication
- A desire for long-term career development
- Physical requirements: occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds; work with tools on vehicles lifted above head; work in tight spaces; dexterity with hand tools; walk/stand for long periods; drive manual transmissions
- Ability to navigate a computer
- Experience working in a service department or team environment
