Job Summary
The Line Lead, Inventory is a front-line supervisor role in the Carvana Inspection Center, responsible for directly managing and developing a team of hourly associates to regularly achieve production and quality targets. Lead movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center for repairs, meet production goals, oversee daily team activities, coach performance, ensure safe operations, and enforce quality control standards to minimize re-checks. Train production associates on Quality Control standards to complete repairs correctly the first time, and coordinate with the Inspection Center General Manager to decide repairs or rejection based on cost and quality. Emphasizes safety, clear communication, and adherence to procedures while supporting overtime and weekend schedules. Requires a high school diploma or GED, computer experience, a valid driver’s license, physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Not visa eligible. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience using computers
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Demonstrated functional expertise in one or more areas pertaining to Carvana’s reconditioning process
- Demonstrated understanding of our current reconditioning processes and lean principles
- Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels
- Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance
- Requires use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment
- Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality content in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively delegate tasks to team members
- Ability to communicate and interact with others effectively in a professional, courteous manner
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and oral
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Ability to resolve complex issues with guidance from others
- Ability to work overtime and on weekends
- Ability to work variable schedule(s) as necessary
