Automotive Lead Technician

Job Summary
Diagnose vehicles according to appropriate certifications and perform repairs outlined on multi-point inspection and repair orders with efficiency and accuracy. Explain technical diagnoses to non-mechanical individuals including store managers, service consultants, and customers. Recommend necessary services to maintain vehicle running conditions and document all recommendations in customer files. Follow safety procedures, report concerns to the shop foreman or store manager, and maintain ASE certifications and renewals. Work Monday through Saturday in a shop environment with moderate to loud noises, dust, and varying temperatures. Stand for eight hours daily, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Possess current, valid driver's license
- Ability to work Monday - Saturday
- Must be able to stand up to eight hours per day in the shop
- Must be able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day
- Must have full range of motion with arms and hands
- Must be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Must be able to hear and speak
- Must have vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training
