Job Summary
Diagnose vehicles according to appropriate certifications and perform repairs outlined on multi-point inspection and repair orders with efficiency and accuracy. Explain technical diagnoses to non-mechanical individuals, including store managers, service consultants, and customers, while recommending necessary services to maintain vehicle condition. Document all recommendations in customer files and follow safety procedures by reporting concerns to the shop foreman or store manager. Maintain ASE certifications and renewals. Work Monday through Saturday, adhering to manufacturer and company standards.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Possess current, valid driver's license
- Ability to work Monday - Saturday
- Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training
- Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
- Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
- Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Hear and speak
- Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
