Job Summary
Lead Technician responsible for diagnosing and repairing drivability and electrical systems, leading and mentoring a team toward increased customer care and satisfaction. Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training. Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least five of A1 – A8 within first two years of employment. Explain technical diagnoses to customers, perform brake/hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, suspension/alignment, air conditioning, and computer-system work, and support development of technicians through hands-on training.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid automobile driver's license
- ASE certifications in A1-A8 (within first two years)
- Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable
- Strong understanding of electrical/electronic systems, engine repair, automatic transmission, manual drivetrain/transmission
- 5 years of automotive repair experience or equivalent qualifications (preferred)
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people
