Job Summary
Lead Technician role responsible for diagnosing drivability and electrical systems, mentoring a team to improve customer care and satisfaction, and staying current with automotive technology through paid formal training. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing brake/hydraulic, exhaust, ignition/electrical, suspension/alignment, and air conditioning/computer systems; explaining technical diagnoses to non-technical individuals; assisting and training technicians; obtaining ASE certifications within two years; and possessing a valid driver’s license with strong communication and math/reading skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least five of A1–A8 within first two years of employment
- Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times
- Skilled in brakes diagnosis/repair
- Skilled in alignment, steering & suspension diagnosis/repair
- Skilled in general automotive maintenance & tire repair
- Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable
