Job Summary
Lead Technician responsible for diagnosing and repairing drivability and electrical systems, including brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, fuel ignition, suspension, alignment, and air conditioning, while mentoring technicians, explaining diagnoses to customers, and staying current with automotive technology through formal training. The role emphasizes leadership, customer communication, and the pursuit of ASE certifications (five of A1–A8 within two years). Pay is performance-based via flat-rate pay, with training and opportunities for ASE certification support.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times
- Skilled in brakes diagnosis/repair
- Skilled in alignment, steering & suspension diagnosis/repair
- Skilled in general automotive maintenance & tire repair
- Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people
- Reading, writing and math skills
- A.S.E. certifications in at least five of A1-A8 within first two years
Desired Qualifications
