Job Summary
Lead automotive technician responsible for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance across heating/AC, steering, suspension, brakes, cooling systems, electrical diagnostics and related components. Independently capable while also collaborating with peers in a full-service shop. Must have experience with state-specific auto repair certifications, own tools, and proficiency with shop equipment (lifts, alignment machines, scan tools). Requires high personal productivity, commitment to safety and environmental standards, and ability to service both foreign and domestic vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent - technical degree a definite plus
- State-specific auto repair certifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Own tools/equipment (diagnostic scanner / tools preferred also)
- Able to service both foreign and domestic vehicles
- Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and scan tools
- Knowledge in automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, & engine diagnostics
- Track record of high personal productivity
- Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
- Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment
