Job Summary
Automotive Journeyman Technician needed to perform repair orders and diagnose/repair vehicle systems in a dealership setting. Responsibilities include testing vehicles and components with diagnostic tools, diagnosing and repairing engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning systems, communicating with the Service Advisor about additional repairs and time estimates, and executing warranty repairs per manufacturer specifications. Ideal candidate has 3+ years of journeyman or related technician experience, ASE certification (highly valuable but not required), and a high school diploma or equivalent. Diesel technicians are encouraged to apply. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience at an automotive dealership preferred
- Dexterity and steady hand
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic computer competencies
- Valid driver6s license and clean driving record
- Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to learn new technology and repair procedures
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
