Job Summary
The Automotive Floorplan Territory Manager is responsible for building and managing a portfolio of automotive dealerships, focusing on signing dealerships, driving sales, and ensuring high levels of customer service. This role requires developing sales strategies, maintaining client relationships, conducting market research, overseeing portfolio servicing, and managing associated risks, including monitoring dealership performance. Ideal candidates should possess strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Candidates must hold a BA/BS and have relevant experience in finance, sales, or account management.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in related field
- 3 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- 2+ years related experience in finance, sales, account management and/or collections required
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the automotive industry (various sectors)
- Strong financial acumen with working knowledge of key financial tools and terminology
- Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with clients, collaborate with internal team members and external partners at various levels within the organization
- Strong time management skills with ability to manage deadlines
- Strong negotiation and collection skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a remote environment
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required for this position
- Travel: Greater than 75% with some overnight travel required
