Job Summary
Greet customers professionally, present protection packages, and build lender relationships to secure financing and obtain approvals. Process transaction paperwork accurately for DMV and lender requirements, collect receivables, and convert cash deals to finance. Take credit applications, handle rate quotations, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Monitor red flag rules, maintain manufacturer certifications, and provide thorough explanations of aftermarket products and warranties. Assist the sales team during peak traffic, attend staff meetings, and complete administrative tasks as assigned. Obtain all appropriate licensing within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Must have knowledge of federal, state and local regulations that affect the new and used vehicle and finance departments.
- Must have knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Must have the ability to establish productive, cooperative relationships with customers, vendors, co-workers and management.
- Must have knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products or services.
- Must have knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as Microsoft Word and Excel, managing files and records, designing forms and other office procedures.
- Must utilize effective time management skills.
- Must have exceptional customer service skills.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a team player.
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
- Manufacturer required certification must be maintained at the minimum level.
- Travel to other Company locations along with our manufacturer's training and other relevant training courses required.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license for occasional travel requirements.
- A professional appearance and manner consistent with the Company's culture must be maintained.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous automotive experience or two years of sales experience preferred.
